The Price of Leadership

Happy Father’s Day

Most presume leadership is this title you carry when it’s an actual job. The price is often hefty because you incur all the responsibility, damages, success, and ultimate decisions. Fatherhood is about leadership. Taking an active role in your family’s well-being, such as providing provisions, guidance, and safety.

We hope to share some pointers this Father’s Day and wish all the hardworking dads success.

I began reading a few books to write this article. It’s been fun. I learned more wisdom from some terrific Authors. Leadership is like all ships. It needs a captain at the helm, carefully guiding it, and a trustworthy crew. Here are a few tips I gathered. You can add more skill sets as you master some basics. You can only begin with the basics. Minor things are something other than what you want to major in.

    1. Accountability
    2. Courage and Confidence
    3. Discernment
    4. Compassion
    5. Goal-Oriented
    6. Recognition
    7. Problem Solver and Planner
    8. Provider and Protector

8 Tips Explained:

Webster’s Dictionary defines accountability as “the quality or state of being accountable; an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility for one’s actions.” It doesn’t mean punishment; it’s a willingness to accept responsibility for our actions. e.g., Finances, education, household, family, friends, work, and all aspects.

Courage and confidence cover so many things we provided a video by esteemed Author Brian Tracy. Brian has books in various countries translated into several languages. He has over 35+ years of experience in Personal Development.

Discernment and compassion should really be side by side. Being a role model, mentor, and critical thinker can make all the difference. It’s the ability to make a sound judgment. When deciding disciplinary actions, discernment is helpful, along with compassion.

People with goals receive better results and are far more likely to succeed than people without goals. Why? Because they know where they are going. It’s just that simple. People with goals tend to love themselves more because they always look toward the future with hope. People without goals are broken because they have not considered a financial future.

Proverbs 29:18: “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” KJV

Recognition should come with an understanding that you can not take things for granted. Because what you fail to recognize in your life, you will lose. For this reason, you can not remain seated in an ever-changing environment. Recognize your strengths and your weaknesses, master your skills, and improve upon others. Understand who you are and who you want to be. Recognize the people in your life.

You can not call yourself a good problem-solver if you’ve only solved a few minor problems in your life. We all have minor and major setbacks. However, when you set goals, most of life’s issues cease because you have prioritized and taken care of essential goals carefully laid out and planned by YOU. Everyone could use a shorter to-do list.

Life should be an incredible adventure and never a bore. You should approach life with wonder, amazement, and confidence, complete with possibilities. Know this, “All Good Will Be Attacked”. If a man plants a seed, does he expect to reap an entire harvest? Well, you would think so, but he will not. Birds eat a little, some by insects, maybe thieves will take some or bad weather. Knowing this will help you protect and provide for those you love.
