Who depends on the ocean? Who needs water every single day? The answer is pretty obvious or self-evident, although most days we take it for granted because we have so much. Billions of plant life and sea life in the ocean are all working and living just like us on land.
We can’t ask the land animals or sea life for anything with all they’ve already or continuously doing since the beginning. All these living things including plant life, insects, birds are all doing their intended purpose, as sure as the sunburns, the woodpecker pecks, the roaster will be clucking, and the bees making honey.
Human beings make up the rest of the population in nationalities, ages, incomes, cultures, languages… 100% of all life forms are all passing thru, hopefully to a better place, most would say. Where would that actually be? This place or planet with all its inhabitants is pretty amazing.
There is a flourishing economy in our oceans and their inhabitants. Many people live their entire lives on and by the water, fishing to support families and communities. The marine-related gross domestic product grew 5.8% from 2017 to 2018, faster than the 5.4% growth of the total U.S. gross domestic product as measured in current dollars. This was reported by the US Bureau of Economic Analysis. All living things depend 100% on the earth’s oceans. However, the only living things that have the ability to maintain it, are us.
