Bessie Coleman born 1922 was an American aviator to earn a pilot's license. Because flying schools in the United States denied her entry, she taught herself French and moved to France, earning her license from France's well-known Caudron Brother's School of Aviation in just seven months.
Coleman specialized in stunt flying and parachuting, earning a living barnstorming and performing aerial tricks. She remains a pioneer of women in the field of aviation.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at the airport screens passengers and baggage to prevent aircraft hijacking and ensure airport security. TSA officers, also known as transportation security officers (TSOs), perform a variety of tasks at the airport, including:
- ScreeningTSOs screen passengers, carry-on baggage, checked baggage, and cargo at checkpoints. Screening may include checking identification and plane tickets, guiding passengers through x-ray machines, and conducting pat-downs. TSOs also use machines and tools to detect dangerous substances and weapons. If they find something suspicious, they may ask questions and inspect belongings more closely.
- Working with othersTSOs work with law enforcement and intelligence communities to share information. They also employ explosives detection dog handlers and bomb technicians.
